We are still working on finding a new host for our website and getting it moved. An updated map of trail closures has been posted to the website, Facebook page and Facebook group. Email and text lists are being updated to include new members and remove those who did not renew their membership.
The camping calendar was discussed and some nearby trips were added:
Camping at Reed Rd Ranglers - May 1-3 with Derby Party and monthly meeting Saturday May 2
Camping at Reed Rd Ranglers - July 24-26 with FCOHC Chili Cookoff Saturday July 25
More events will be added as they are planned. Any member can propose events by suggesting a place and date and presenting information to the group.
Jack continues to attend planning meetings for October in the Oaks and is looking for suggestions for our role in the month-long event. Jim Cassidy is no longer with the metropark. A horse camp display was suggested as well as cart rides/driving exhibition.
There will be a NW Regional meeting Mar 14 in Arlington, OH and a State membership meeting Mar 22 in Delaware Oh.
HHYEC sping clean-up is scheduled for Apr. 4.
Our spring clean-up has been rescheduled for Apr. 19.
A chainsaw clinic offered by the Dept. of Forestry will likely happen in Mansfield or Wooster. It will be ~4 hrs and participants will be certified to volunteer in the State Forests. It will be open to anyone. It would cost us $750 to have one.
The flower sale will be next month with order forms available on the website and at the April meeting. It is organized by Connie.
We have had requests for donations and sponsorships which will be voted on next month: Lucas Co. 4-H Saddle Horse Advisory Committee, Harry Hughes Youth Equestrian Center and Beverly Upell Memorial Horse Show to benefit St. Judes.
Connie explained a City BBQ fundraiser opportunity.
