Members and guests enjoyed our Saturday night dinner of beef and noodles and baked potato bar provided by our food committee Polly Alvarez and Tammy Rockwell. After dinner, we had our October chapter meeting. We continued to work on plans for our soup-or-rides on the Saturday after Thanksgiving and on New Year’s Day. Planning continued for our Cowboy Christmas Tack Swap and Christmas Shopping event on December 1 at The Show Arena, previously known as WB Ranch, in Swanton. We also held our election of 2025 officers. Incumbents President Jack Collins, VP Kathy Brown and Treasurer Jo Neeley were unopposed and volunteer Lisa Line replaced our secretary who resigned. To end the events of the evening, we had our dessert auction. We netted $700 at the dessert auction which has been donated to 7 charitable organizations: Cherry Street Mission, Otsego food pantry, Toledo NW OH Food Bank, Maumee Under One Roof, AW food pantry, Christmas Box food pantry, and Open Door in Delta. Lora G. is done for the year but is still the liaison to OO. The Fat Saturday and New Years Day Sour or Rides will ride out of the Rider enter. The next meeting will be at Bunkers. There will be an upgraded buffet. 71 members and guests attended at RRR.
