Hi everyone -

Can you believe it? It is the first part of February already! Our next meeting is Monday February 6th, 7 PM @ Nick & Jimmy's. COME EARLY IF YOU WANT TO EAT!

We will be going over the 2012 calendar of events and finalizing at the meeting - come if you want to find out what is going on.

There is some great news from the park - will go over it at the meeting - please attend so you can find out what is happening!

February 11th is the Whitehouse Winterfest - we (FCOHC) are going into the parade again. Contact Hal or Jo Neeley if you want to participate.

I don't want to sound like a broken record - BUT - memberships expired 12/31/11. You must renew to participate - even in a meeting. Don't forget to renew!

What a winter this has been! Many of you (Lucky you!) have been able to ride more this winter than in the previous several years. The Rider's Center has been closed and/or restricted quite a lot this year due to the over abundance of rain we have had. When you pull in, check before you drive into the center so you do not get stuck in the mud! I am sure you have noticed that there are detours/closed trails due to park maintenance. PLEASE - PLEASE PAY ATTENTION TO THE SIGNS! Also - some of the trails have new split rail fencing along one side - this is there to separate our trail from the walking trail that had to be moved along our trail due to the tornado damage. KEEP ON THE SIDE MARKED FOR HORSES - NOT ON THE WALKING TRAIL! Stay tuned for more updates on the park - or check out www.oakopeningshorsetrails.com or www.oohorsetrails.com for updated information.
